After a week of sunshine and one or two very warm days we are back to rain and wind. Still, we did manage to get the garden into shape ready for guests, with a lot of help from our neighbours. We also finished the grouting of the swimming pool, and hope that we can go a few years before more tiles detach themselves. It is a real pain firstly to empty the pool, as the amount of water is huge, and it takes some days to drain. We then have to spend around a week refilling it, and usually have to revert to mains water, which can be very expensive.
The only benefit of the rain is that everything is very green, but a lot of flowers, shrubs and trees are late this year, because of the prolonged cold and wet.
