Well it’s now been well over a month without rain. Last Sunday we watched a huge cloud of smoke about a mile away, having first seen it about 9.30am. At around 11.30am we saw a helicopter with a water bag fly over, the fire was still going well into the afternoon. In the paper on Monday the report said there had been 107 firemen present and around 1500 acres of pine forest were destroyed. Returning from Tondela this afternoon we saw another major fire.
A current view of the Quinta and Adega.
The plasterers have now finished the Adega and the upper two floors of the Quinta, and packed up and left today. They should be back later to do the ground floor.
