Well it’s now been well over a month without rain. Last Sunday we watched a huge cloud of smoke about a mile away, having first seen it about 9.30am. At around 11.30am we saw a helicopter with a water bag
Work carries on
We have had nearly three weeks of glorious weather, the only problem of course is how dry the garden is getting. The builders have been doing various small jobs, and the plasterers are currently working their way through the Quinta.
Tiled – but not yet grouted
The tiler has now been here for nearly a week and the result is three bathrooms tiled, but not yet grouted. In total there are eleven to do, so he will be here for a while yet! This is the
Tiling the shower rooms starts
Most of the wall around the swimming pool is now finished, the internal courtyard walls have all been pointed, and work on tiling the shower-rooms has started.
Swimming pool gets new wall
We have had three men building a new improved wall around the swimming pool for the last two weeks. The ground floor of the Adega is nearly finished!
Progress in pictures
The Quinta with the Adega on the right in April 2008, soon after the crane arrived. The Adega reduced to a shell in May.
Lots of workmen on site
This week we have the builder, two stonemasons, the electrician, and four plasterers on site. The picture shows the front door of the one bedroom apartment in the Adega, looking from the car park.
Wiring and piping finished
The picture above shows the Quinta (on the left) and the Adega (on the right) as they were a couple of days ago. The wiring and the piping seem to be finished, and during the last week the plasterers have
