We went off for a week to the beautiful Azores, and had a lovely time including a morning whale watching. We saw two sperm whales a fin whale and bottlenose and common dolphins. We visited some gardens on the island

After a week of sunshine and one or two very warm days we are back to rain and wind. Still, we did manage to get the garden into shape ready for guests, with a lot of help from our neighbours.

The unusually cold weather continues, together with heavy downpours and strong cold winds. Strangely this is interspersed with sunny spells, which can be quite warm if the wind drops. We have not been able to do as much work in
